Artist’s Statement: “As an eclectic artist I work in mixed media including painting, collage, assemblage and altered art. My creations have a whimsical flair.  Most of my pieces are bursting with high color which lifts my spirits with a positive emotion.  I make art for self-expression; to satisfy a craving from within. Inspiration comes from many sources but the depths of my creations come from my imagination. I begin with a concept without attachment to the final outcome. This allows my piece to unfold and evolve into what it wants to become.” – Julie Heim

“Center stage in my art is the figure – an object in motion, as if the figure is caught, just for an instant; a glimpse, a snapshot before the gesture is complete. I’m not in search of exact representation. I’m intent rather on provoking a sense of tension or intensity. ….” – Stephanie Cramer (417) 616-6488
